Pitch

The Phoenix light rail system has succeeded in connecting the city; however, I am curious about the local business sphere that surrounds the light rail.

I am interested in exploring the hidden gems at each light rail stop and would like to talk to local business owners to determine how the light rail has advanced their local businesses.

I would like to use the final project as an opportunity to become more familiar with the Phoenix area as well as becoming more in touch with the community.

I plan on asking community members how the light rail has enhanced their transportation experience in Phoenix and measure how environmentally friendly the light rail is.

With the light rail under expansion, I would be able to gain insight on the expansion itself as well as and gaining insight on the south Phoenix light rail that is currently under construction.

The topic of the light rail has incredible opportunity as an interactive multimedia journalism with photo galleries for popular stops and a map of the light rail stops in the Phoenix area.

I feel as if this idea may be useful as a contemporary guide to using the light rail as I feel that the resources provided by the city are not necessarily genuine.

My hope is that this completed project may act as a guide on how to use the light rail to its fullest potential.
